Compliance Officer

Duties:

• Fulfills the duties of the Compliance & AML officer in accordance with the regulations of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC)

• Monitors and adheres to circulars/directives/announcements issued by CYSEC and updates/changes in the relevant legislation pertaining to the Company’s activities.

• Establishes, implements, and maintains appropriate mechanisms and activities to promote and sustain a corporate culture of compliance and integrity within the Company.

• Identifies and documents proactively the risks associated with the Company’s activities and develops appropriate practices and methodologies to measure such risks.

• Liaises with CYSEC and CSE on regulatory matters and ensures that the Company’s obligations to the Authorities are met (including Capital Adequacy Reporting and Client Funds Reconciliation).

• Verifies that new Company products and procedures comply with current legal environment and business standards and any known changes to legislation, regulations, and supervisory requirements.

• Ensures the smooth and effective operation of the Backoffice and Accounting operations of the Company including the supervision of safekeeping and custody function.

• Liaises with the Company’s auditors for the preparation of annual financial statements and other financial requirements.

• Undertakes responsibility for all administrative matters relating to funds which are under management by the Company.

Academic/Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.

• Holder of a professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA).

• Holder of CYSEC certificate – Advanced level

• The position requires CYSEC approval

Experience:

• At least 4-5 years of experience in a position dealing with regulatory authorities in the financial services industry.
